By the end of this module, students should be able to:

Knowledge and Understanding:

• Differentiate between AC power, benchtop regulated DC power, battery power, solar power, and (optionally) wireless power.
• Explain the advantages, limitations, and safety considerations of each source.
• Understand the principle of AC-DC conversion

Application:

• Configure and operate a DC power supply.
• Measure and interpret current-voltage characteristics of different sources (battery discharge, solar I-V curve).
• Select an appropriate power source for a given project and its current stage.
• Integrate power protections into project design.
