Purpose

LTSpice is a circuit simulation software that is used in many ECSE courses at RPI. This module gives an overview of the key functions of the software. For RPI students, by the end of the module you will have all the information you need to complete Proof of Skills: Circuit Simulation for both Intro to ECSE and Electric Circuits.

Customization

Customization is optional for most LTSpice users, but if you are a student working on Proof of Skills for your RPI ECSE classes, then customizing your interface is the first thing you should learn how to do.

Change Background Color

To change the background color, navigate to Tools → Color Preferences. This will open a menu where you can edit your background color, component color and label color among other things. To edit background color, you can either click on the background of the image in the menu, or you can use the Selected Item drop down menu and click Background. To change the color, use the RGB sliders. To save your changes make sure you click Apply before closing the menu.
